The Creator was given us, therefore, in the best and fullest way, who was made for us in such a way that we might enjoy him perpetually and perfectly; that was when he took on flesh, for if he had not assumed flesh and redeemed us, we might not be admitted to the full enjoyment and use of his divinity. The Son of God was given us to use and enjoy him – and through him the whole Trinity – forever and absolutely, when he became flesh in time, and was born, and made man.
